This Privacy Policy explains how Baan Software PTE. LTD. ("we") handles your data when you use WhatsApp Digester (the "Service").
What we collect
- Your phone number — this is your account identity. We do not collect your email or a password.
- Your settings — which groups you selected, your digest instruction, your daily time, and your subscription status.
- Activity metadata — a timestamp of the last message per group (never the message text) so we can show you your active groups.
How we handle message content
- We read messages only from the groups you select, and only to build your digest.
- Message content is encrypted (AES-256) and held for no more than 24 hours, then automatically deleted.
- Your digests themselves are not stored. We do not keep an archive of your messages.
- The AI that writes your digest runs on a paid tier that does not use your data for training.
Other people in your groups
Your groups contain messages from other people. You confirm, when you accept these terms, that you have the right to include those groups. We minimize this data (selected groups only, encrypted, deleted within 24 hours, never used for training) and act on your instructions as the person who controls those group memberships.
Who we share data with (sub-processors)
- WhatsApp connectivity — a self-hosted gateway we operate to connect your WhatsApp session.
- Google (Gemini API) — writes the digest text; paid tier, no training on your data.
- Stripe — processes payments. We never see your full card details.
- Amazon Web Services (EU, Frankfurt) — runs the Service.
Retention
Message content: up to 24 hours. Settings and activity metadata: until you delete your account.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time. To delete everything — your settings, your metadata, and your WhatsApp link — reply deletemydata in your WhatsApp chat with the Service, then confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
